2026 Conference of the Global Public Security Cooperation Forum opens in Lianyungang

The 2026 Conference of Global Public Security Cooperation Forum opened in Lianyungang, east China's Jiangsu Province, on the afternoon of September 9.

With the annual theme "Joining Hands to Advance Public Security Governance and Inject Stability into a Turbulent World," the forum has brought together more than 2,100 participants from 139 countries, regions and international organizations. The event is hosted by the Chinese Association for Friendship.

The forum features eight parallel sessions focusing on areas including immigration management cooperation, international drug control cooperation, international counter-terrorism cooperation, cybersecurity, public security technologies and equipment, international police education cooperation, tourism safety and international security services.

The forum will release the Global Public Security Index Report (2025–2026) and the Annual Report of the Global Public Security Cooperation Forum (Lianyungang) (2025–2026). Meanwhile, during the 2026 forum, China's Ministry of Public Security will host the founding conference of the International Alliance Combating Telecom and Cyber Fraud.
