Iraqi Ministry of Oil: The Ministry of Oil wishes to clarify to the media and public opinion that a tanker-type vessel, dedicated to storing fuel oil product and leased by the Iraqi Oil Tankers Company, was subjected to damage from an unknown source while present within Iraqi territorial waters, resulting in minor material damage to the vessel's hull.The Ministry confirms that the incident did not result in any human casualties or injuries among the vessel's crew members, nor did it cause any leakage of its product cargo into the waters.
