China has expressed concern over a reported US pilot project in Panama to build the world's first AI supply chain certification platform. In response to media reports that the initiative serves Washington's efforts to control the tech supply chain and contain China, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said on Thursday that such moves would amount to geopolitical calculations that harm the Global South's development.
