Zunyi Conference Site – a gray-and-white, two-story brick-and-wood building at No. 96 Ziyin Road. From January 15–17, 1935, in a tiny 27-square-meter room lit only by an oil lamp, 20 Communist Party leaders made a decision that saved the Party, the Red Army, and the future of China. This was the Zunyi Conference – the moment that turned the tide of the Long March and changed the course of Chinese history.

Today, that same room is preserved within the Zunyi Conference Memorial Hall – one of China’s first revolutionary memorials, opened in 1955 and now a National First-Class Museum. The hall spans over 40,000 square meters and houses more than 2,100 artifacts, where millions come hungry to learn. (Photos via CGTN)
