Xinjiang-Chongqing computing power project enters new stage

A recent event held in Yiwu County, Hami City, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, marked both the delivery of computing power under the Xinjiang Computing Power to Chongqing Project and the start of construction on the China Mobile-Alibaba Cloud intelligent computing center. The event signals a new stage for the project.

Chongqing is one of the eight national computing hub nodes and one of the 10 data center clusters under China's "East Data, West Computing" initiative. Xinjiang is a national pilot region for coordinating computing power and electricity.

One-way data transmission latency between Chongqing and Hami has been reduced to 16.2 milliseconds, equivalent to 0.52 milliseconds per 100 kilometers. Hami's computing power now transmits more than 100 petabytes of data to Chongqing users each month, making it a new artery for information transmission.

The Hami (Yiwu) Computing Power Innovation Demonstration Zone is building functional areas for computing infrastructure, digital industry incubation and other functions. It is expected to further advance the Xinjiang Computing Power to Chongqing Project and strengthen Chongqing's high-quality computing power support.
