Foreign guests witness progress in northwest China's Shaanxi

A conference on the achievements of northwest China's Shaanxi Province in practicing Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era was held in the revolutionary heartland Yan'an.

Over 200 participants including leaders of political parties, think tank scholars, and business and media representatives from more than 50 countries attended the conference, which was centered on the theme of "Forging the Chinese Path to Modernization with Two Integrations."

Liu Haixing, head of the International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, said in a keynote speech that the CPC upholds the Two Integrations (the integrations of the basic tenets of Marxism with China's specific realities and fine traditional culture) and is breaking new ground for Chinese modernization.

Rooted deeply in history, the people and China's fine traditional culture, the CPC will continue to embrace the world with openness, deepen exchanges and cooperation with political parties and organizations of all countries, and jointly explore paths to modernization suited to respective national conditions, said Liu.

Zhao Yide, secretary of the CPC Shaanxi Provincial Committee, said that Shaanxi has conscientiously explored the laws of advancing modernization while upholding the Two Integrations, drawn wisdom and strength from its rich resources in revolutionary and historical culture, and secured new progress and achievements in various undertakings. He sincerely invited guests to travel around and see more of Shaanxi, to witness the vibrant landscape of Chinese modernization and share in the development opportunities brought by Chinese modernization.

During the story-sharing session, grassroots CPC representatives from across Shaanxi shared first-hand accounts of Shaanxi's practices in rural revitalization, high-quality development, cultural heritage preservation and inheritance, ecological civilization development, and Party building.

Foreign guests remarked that China's success demonstrates that the robust vitality of theories lies in their capacity to effectively answer major questions raised by nations, peoples and the times.

They said Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era has shown tremendous theoretical value and practical significance in China's development, and offers important reference for countries of the Global South to explore paths to modernization tailored to their national realities. They also expressed readiness to strengthen exchanges and mutual learning with the CPC and work together to build a community with a shared future for humanity.
