The death toll in Nepal from devastating flash floods and landslides along the border with China on August 26 has risen to 1,385, according to disaster relief authorities in Nepal on Friday.

Another 5,130 people were still unaccounted for as of 11 a.m. on Friday, the country's National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority said.
