During an interview with Fox News host Laura Ingraham on Thursday, September 10, US President Donald Trump said he did not regret going to war with Iran despite the potential impact on the November US midterm elections.

Trump dismissed suggestions that some of his supporters were upset and demoralized by the war. Rising oil and gas prices resulting from the US-Israeli war on Iran have become a major issue for Republicans ahead of the elections.

The United States and Israel attacked Iran on February 28, and Iran responded with strikes on Israel and Gulf states that host US bases.
