According to Chinese statistics, trade volume between China and the EU reached $828.1 billion in 2025, up 5.4% year-on-year, while Chinese direct investment in the EU surged by over 40%. As economic ties between the two major hubs continue to deepen, CGTN's Guo Linjie spoke with Gianni Di Giovanni, vice president of the European Chamber of Commerce in China, at CIFTIS 2026. Di Giovanni highlighted how European expertise in decarbonization, finance, and professional services meets Chinese market scale and rapid tech adoption, underscoring that the relationship is moving toward two-way cooperation, shared standards, and joint innovation for the global market.
