Two pregnant North China leopards that were spotted in Heshun, north China's Shanxi Province, in the spring are now nearing their due dates. The county protects key habitats and keeps wildlife corridors open to promote the growing leopard population. By the end of 2025, 63 adult North China leopards and 26 cubs had been recorded in Heshun and nearby areas.
