Rare 'hotpot' spectacle at river confluence in Xinjiang's Zhaosu County

At the confluence of the Aheyazi River and the Tekes River in Zhaosu County, Xinjiang, a photographer recently captured a rare "hotpot" spectacle: the clear, jade-like Aheyazi River meets the murky, sediment-laden Tekes River, their waters flowing side by side with a sharply defined boundary before slowly blending. This phenomenon stems from differences in the two rivers' water density and flow speed, which create a special "density current" that keeps the clear and turbid waters layered over a long distance.
