New Zealand Minister of Foreign Affairs: The Minister spoke today to Israeli Minister of Foreign Affairs, Gideon Sa’ar. The Minister expressed New Zealand’s concern at the escalation in settler violence and expansion of illegal Israeli settlements in the West Bank, and at the humanitarian situation in Gaza. The Minister also reiterated New Zealand’s long-standing support for Israel’s right to live in security, and our view that it is best served by a two-state solution. The Minister looks forward to speaking soon with Palestinian Foreign Minister Shahin.
