The Pinglu Canal in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region is set to open for navigation on September 16. The waterway will link China's inland regions with ASEAN markets and beyond.

Preparations for maiden voyages on multiple river-sea and cross-border shipping routes are complete. Multimodal freight trains have arrived, river-to-sea vessels are in place and smart navigation equipment is ready.
