China urges the United States to stop expanding military buildup and stepping up war preparation in outer space, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said on Tuesday.

Guo made the remarks at a regular press conference when asked to comment on reports that the US had confirmed the deployment of a space weapon in Earth's orbit for the first time.
