The 2026 SCO Digital Economy Forum opened in Urumqi, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, under the theme "Promoting SCO Data Connectivity, Shaping the Future with AI." Member states agreed on the 2026 Ministerial Statement and advanced key cooperation items for 2026-2027, covering over 10 fields and nearly 20 cooperation intentions. The event features an opening ceremony, a main forum and four thematic segments. It is expected to become a regular platform for deepening strategic alignment, enhancing data mutual trust and building closer partnerships among SCO member states.
