Former Japanese Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama has expressed deep concern that many young people remain ignorant of Japan's wartime aggression against China and the Korean Peninsula. He stressed that the older generation has a responsibility to impart historical truths and past mistakes to young people, to prevent such mistakes being repeated.
