Bangladeshi health minister discusses expanding China healthcare cooperation

Bangladesh’s Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Sardar Md. Sakhawat Husain, has called for deeper healthcare cooperation with China, including medical treatment, vaccine and pharmaceutical production, and other health-related industries.

In an interview with CGTN’s Cao Chufeng at the Global Health Forum 2026 Haikou Conference, Husain also discussed how developing countries can play a more active role in the global health industry, and how international cooperation could help make AI-powered healthcare more accessible and affordable.
