Shenyang's 9.18 Historical Museum receives rare historical materials

This year marks the 95th anniversary of the September 18 Incident. The 9.18 Historical Museum in Shenyang City, northeast China's Liaoning Province, has received a collection of rare historical materials from private collectors.

Among them are 14 items from the collection of historical document collector Zhan Hongge, including newspapers and periodicals published in China and abroad between 1931 and 1945. These materials document the September 18 Incident and the military occupation of northeast China by Japanese militarists, the counterattacks by the Northeast Anti-Japanese Volunteer Army and the Northeast Anti-Japanese United Army against the Japanese invaders, and Japan's announcement of unconditional surrender.
