From 1934 to 1936, the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army set out from Jiangxi and trekked 12,500 kilometers on the world-renowned Long March. In memorial halls along the Long March route, oil paintings capture those dramatic moments: the perils of the Four Crossings of the Chishui River, the harsh conditions of crossing snow-capped mountains and vast grasslands, and the deep bond of mutual support between the Red Army and local people along the way. Gazing at the brushstrokes, one can feel the power of faith and sacrifice.
