From 1934 to 1936, the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army set out from Jiangxi and trekked 12,500 kilometers on the world-renowned Long March. In memorial halls along the Long March route, oil paintings capture those dramatic moments: the perils of the Four Crossings of the Chishui River, the harsh conditions of crossing snow-capped mountains and vast grasslands, and the deep bond of mutual support between the Red Army and local people along the way.
