In October 1936, the First Front Red Army (the Central Red Army), the Second Front Red Army and the Fourth Front Red Army joined up at two locations in northwest China – Huining in Gansu and Jiangtaibao in Ningxia. Their reunion marked the victorious conclusion of the Long March. This legendary achievement was a triumph forged from blood and courage, victory and defeat, despair and hope.
