An abandoned logging road is getting a second life as a wildlife corridor. In northwest China's Qinling Mountains, former logging roads once fragmented the forests home to wildlife, including the tree-dwelling golden snub-nosed monkey. Over the past two decades, trees have been replanted along these roads, reconnecting patches of forest and giving monkey groups room to move, meet and thrive. The population of golden snub-nosed monkeys in the area has grown from over 4,000 in 2000 to more than 6,000 today.
