Under the theme "Opening a New Chapter, Boundless Coexistence," the Spring/Summer 2027 Beijing Fashion Week opened on September 7 with a showstopper: designer Guo Pei staging an haute couture exhibition at the Juyongguan section of the Great Wall, built around the Chinese wedding gown. 

Also on the bill: Lawrence Xu, who unveiled a new Liuluo Embroidery technique developed with the Nanjing Yunjin Museum.

More than 160 Chinese and international brands showed their collections across 135 fashion events over the ten days.
