Ballon d'Or contender Harry Kane struck a brace and became the fastest player to reach 100 Bundesliga goals as Bayern Munich eased to a 7-0 win over Union Berlin at the Allianz Arena. It took the England captain just 98 games to reach his century milestone.
Bayern went ahead after 19 minutes as Alphonso Davies cut the ball back to Jamal Musiala, and the German fired a powerful shot into the net, leaving Union goalkeeper Frederik Ronnow with no chance of making a save.
Union defender Tom Rothe then fouled Michael Olise in the box, and Kane converted the resulting penalty to score his 100th Bundesliga goal.
Bayern made it 3-0 before half-time through a fine strike from Olise, who received a pass from Musiala before curling the ball into the top corner of the net from the edge of the box.
The hosts went 4-0 up in the 54th minute when Olise picked out Kane with a pinpoint cross from the right, and the England captain headed home his second goal of the game.
Bayern coach Vincent Kompany sent on Ismael Saibari just after the hour mark, and the Moroccan scored his first Bayern goal seven minutes later to make it 5-0. Olise added his second three minutes later, beating Ronnow with a shot that went in off the near post.
The Frenchman completed his first hat-trick for Bayern three minutes later with a stunning curling effort from outside the box. Bayern went on to win 7-0 and top the Bundesliga standings with 10 points after four games.
