An American delegation from the Oregon Rhythmic Gymnastics and Dance Academy visited the Xizang Autonomous Region in southwest China this summer. Joined by local artists and talented children, the US students experienced playing the dramyin (a six-stringed instrument) and tried writing Tibetan calligraphy.
Making friends through dance and connecting heart to heart, the immersive cultural exchange and experiences allowed the US students to feel the enduring vitality of Tibetan ethnic culture. Together, the youth wrote a chapter of China-US people-to-people friendship that spans mountains and seas.
