As two leading artificial intelligence (AI) powers, China and the United States have much at stake in how AI develops. With complementary strengths in technology, industry and applications, the two countries could do more together – not only to advance AI, but also to address its risks and help shape a more just and effective global governance framework. From advancing the technology to addressing its risks and shaping global AI governance, there is growing space for the two countries to work together.
