Pakistan's Ministry of Information and Broadcasting said on Monday that security forces killed 37 militants in counterterrorism operations conducted on Sunday in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province and along the border with Afghanistan.

The ministry said nine militants were killed in ground operations in the Kohat and Hangu areas of its northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, while 28 militants, including multiple suicide bombers, were killed ‌in ​airstrikes on three ⁠targets in border areas.
