French-born Spanish film director Oliver Laxe, a jury member at the 13th Silk Road International Film Festival, sees cinema as a modern extension of the cultural exchanges once carried along the Silk Road. Drawing on his roots in Galicia and the historic Camino de Santiago, Laxe also shares his growing interest in the ideas and cultures that traveled across borders.
