The 2026 Silk Road Outstanding Films Exchange and Promotion Event opened in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province on September 20 as part of the ongoing Silk Road International Film Festival. More than 300 representatives of the film industry from China and abroad gathered to promote film trade and cultural exchanges.

The Silk Road Film International Exchange and Trading Center was unveiled, while the Silk Road Film Copyright Trading Platform was launched. A series of cooperation agreements were signed, covering multilingual film and television translation, talent development and the Latin American market. The event also featured panel discussions and the Silk Road film exchange and trading market.
