The Kremlin said on Tuesday that the United States had denied a visa to Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Alimov ahead of the UN General Assembly in New York, describing this as an "unfriendly act."
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said the move went against US obligations as the host country for the UN headquarters and Russia would raise the matter with Washington.
