Romania Ministry of National Defense: 'On the night of September 23 to 24, the radar surveillance system of the Ministry of National Defense detected a group of aerial targets maneuvering north of the Chilia Veche locality, on Ukrainian territory, near the border with Romania. The National Military Command Center notified the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations regarding the implementation of measures to alert the population in the northern part of Tulcea County, and at 04:41, an RO-Alert message was transmitted. Two F-18 aircraft from the Spanish Air and Space Forces, engaged in Enhanced Air Policing combat service, took off from Mihail Kogălniceanu Air Base 57 to monitor the situation.'
