Chinese President Xi Jinping said that, as two major countries, China and the United States must hold the line of no conflict and no confrontation.

"We can certainly find the right path for our two great countries to get along on this planet we both call home," Xi said.

He made the remarks on Thursday while addressing a welcome ceremony hosted by US President Donald Trump at the White House.
