China has unveiled a new initiative to give 100,000 young Americans the opportunity to study in the country over the next five years. Ronald Sakolsky, an American educator who once came to China as an exchange teacher, supported Yin Yuzhen, a Chinese woman who fought the desert, in her efforts to plant more trees. Returning to China this August, he saw the once-barren desert turned into lush forest. Speaking with CGTN's Li Qiuyuan, Sakolsky welcomed the initiative and called for stronger people-to-people ties between China and the US.
