Chinese President Xi Jinping left Washington, D.C. on Friday, concluding his state visit to the United States.

Senior US government officials saw Xi off at the airport. A 21-gun salute was fired in his honor.

On the way to the airport, overseas Chinese and Chinese students gathered along the roadside, waving the national flags of China and the US to celebrate the success of Xi's visit.
