A 58-day celebration packed with full-on Chinese intangible cultural heritage vibes is underway at Shanghai’s iconic Yuyuan Garden. 

The “Grand Yuyuan Music and Heritage Festival” brings together traditional Chinese opera genres, including Kunqu, Peking Opera, Huangmei Opera, and Sichuan Opera — plus modern music. Traditional customs like “strolling under the moon” and “moon worship” ceremonies are back in full swing in the alleys, offering a truly immersive Mid-Autumn experience. 

The festival also partners with the Bund Finance Center terrace to create an outdoor East-meets-West music venue, along with exhibitions, markets, handicraft workshops, and other events. Wanna come and explore it yourself?
