The world's largest pile-driving vessel left port on Sunday and is heading for Brazil to support the Salvador-Itaparica Bridge project. The China-developed ship can work in water 70 meters deep and lift piles up to 700 tonnes, and is built for seabed conditions 64 meters below the surface. Once finished, the bridge will cut the crossing from an hour by ferry to 15 minutes by road.
