At least 81 people were killed and 62 others injured as heavy rains triggered flooding and widespread damage over the past three days in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, local media reported on Monday.
Schools were closed in parts of the state, as rescue teams evacuated residents from flooded areas to safer locations.
