China is willing to maintain communication with the United States through intergovernmental dialogue on artificial intelligence (AI), a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson said on Monday.

Spokesperson Guo Jiakun made the remarks at a regular press briefing in Beijing when asked to comment on the recent agreement between the two countries to establish a communication channel for AI-related incidents, one of the key outcomes of the latest China-US summit.
