Dairy production is a source of greenhouse gas emissions and researchers at China Agricultural University are exploring ways to reduce that footprint – from what cows eat to how they are fed and monitored.

For more than five years, the university has worked with US company Cargill to turn those research findings into practical solutions for commercial dairy farms. The collaboration now extends beyond China, with Cargill bringing some of those lessons into its global network.
