At least four people have been confirmed dead after an avalanche struck the base camp area of Mount Himlung in Nepal's mountainous district of Manang on September 27, the police said.

Footage released the next day appears to show rescuers digging through deep snow as a helicopter circles overhead. The date and location of the footage could not be independently verified.
