Two US Navy aviators were safely recovered after an aircraft mishap aboard the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower off the coast of Virginia on Monday, the US Navy said on Tuesday.

The two aviators assigned to Carrier Air Wing 3 ejected from their aircraft during recovery operations and were promptly recovered. Both were returned to the ship for medical evaluation, while four shipboard personnel were injured, with one sailor being transported to a Norfolk-area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, the Navy added.
