September 30 is Martyrs' Day in China. Nine Red Army soldiers have finally been laid to rest at the Qinggangpo Red Army Martyrs' Cemetery in Xishui County, southwest China's Guizhou Province, more than 90 years after the battle.

Their remains were gathered from across the county and reburied alongside their comrades.

More than 3,000 Red Army soldiers were killed or wounded in the battle at Qinggangpo. Afterward, the Central Red Army crossed the Chishui River at Tucheng Town for the first time, marking the start of the Four Crossings of the Chishui River.
