Twenty-four-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic swapped his racket for a giant calligraphy brush on Wednesday, writing "De Yue" on the paving stones at Beijing's Summer Palace.

"De Yue" is the first two characters of Djokovic's Chinese name as well as the name Chinese fans commonly use to refer to the tennis star.

Djokovic is back to Beijing this week for the China Open, 11 years after his last appearance in the Chinese capital.
