Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Wednesday that a pilot aboard a Flydubai flight carrying mostly Israeli passengers stabbed the other pilot and allegedly tried to crash the plane before passengers and crew subdued him. 

Speaking at a press conference, Netanyahu said the pilot who allegedly attacked the other pilot had been arrested and was being questioned by Saudi authorities.

Early media reports said the cabin crew entered the cockpit and took control of Flydubai flight FZ1073 from the United Arab Emirates to Israel, which diverted to Saudi Arabia while fling over Jordanian airspace.
