Ribs close on world's longest-span railway arch bridge

The main arch of the Hongshui River railway bridge has been closed – a 1,022-meter crossing with a 570-meter main span, built as a concrete arch. Once complete, it will be the world's longest-span railway arch bridge, a key link on the new Huangbai Railway connecting Guizhou Province in the southwest and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in the south.
