A simple conversation between a ride-hailing driver and a blind passenger in Chengdu has touched millions of people online.

The passenger, who lost his sight when he was just over a year old, told the driver that he had not seen even a glimmer of light for about 48 years. When he took off his sunglasses and said he wore them because he thought his eyes looked "ugly," the driver became emotional and told him, "Brother, you're not ugly."

The two strangers were both moved to tears during the ride. They have since become friends.
