Chinese tourists are arriving at popular destinations around the world during the National Day holiday, from Europe to Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. Outbound travel searches rose 260% month on month ahead of the holiday, according to Tongcheng Travel, a major Chinese online travel platform. Europe and Australia were among the destinations drawing particularly strong interest, while some travelers have extended their trips to as long as 13 days.
