China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) said Sunday that China played a constructive role at the G20 Trade Ministers' Meeting, held in Milwaukee, the United States, on September 30 and October 1.

A ministry spokesperson said China maintained an open and cooperative approach throughout the meeting, constructively participated in discussions on various issues, and maintained close communication with other members, fully playing its role in promoting dialogue and cooperation.

The spokesperson noted that China upheld principles, firmly safeguarded both its own and developing countries' common interests, and worked to promote G20 unity and cooperation.
