Iran has clarified its position via mediators regarding the United States' response to its proposed seven-day plan, Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said on Sunday.

Iran conveyed the seven-day plan to cease hostilities and reopen the Strait of Hormuz to the United States through mediators on September 22 on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

Iran's government spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani said on Wednesday that the country has received the US counterproposal.
