Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson: 'As a party to the NPT since 1970—and a party that has fully adhered to its obligations—Iran has faced the worst forms of military aggression; its scientists have been assassinated, and its nuclear facilities have come under attack. This is a serious question. If a country is to be part of the Non-Proliferation Treaty, it must be able to reap its benefits and exercise its rights, rather than—conversely—being constantly subjected to pressure, threats, and military attacks. This is a serious question.
